Default Question about Prosport

So I just got a bunch of Prosport gauges to help with reading whats going on with my car. The instructions says:

Red - 12v Accessory Power
Black - Ground
White - Accessory Power On
Orange - Head light switch

What is the difference between the white and orange wires and where do I put the white one? Obviously the orange one goes to the headlight switch so it will turn amber when the headlights are on. And the red one I can just wire to any 12v source and ground to an obvious ground.

Don't burn me too badly please...

Depending on how you wire the white and orange wires will determine the colors the faces are. You can have different colors with lights on vice off depending on how you wire it. Do a quick Google search the subie guys have complete writeups on how to do it

P.S. - Prosport is local to me and they are very helpful. If you get stuck give them a call and they will walk you through it.

I need to get a pillar gauge. It's not the install that I'm having trouble with, it's the White wire. I don't understand where that's supposed to go. I put the red to a 12v power source, black to a ground and the headlight switch to turn the color from white to amber. But what the hell does the white wire do and where does it go? I will definitely put pics up after I get it all installed. Just need to find me a good pillar gauge pod.

No experience with these gauges, but I think you wire the red and white together IF you want the ability to switch between the 2 colors.

The Accessory Power wire is a +12V switched on wire. This wire goes comes on when you turn your ignition key to the ACC position of the key switch.

Basically, the gauges will always have constant +12V power on the RED wire. But the gauge will turn on when it senses the +12V switched power on the WHITE wire. The gauge will be off if this or the ORANGE wire is not powered.

If you wire it all normally: RED = +12V, Black = ground, White = ACC +12V, Orange = Headlight +12V, you will get a WHITE illumination in the day, and a AMBER face at night.

And you can do a combination of the face colors based on how you wire the WHITE and the ORANGE wire. Check out the image below from the instructions:
