Question about EGT...
I have a Vortech SC on my s2k and I am curious to know what it means when my car "spits fire" in between shifts at WOT. Does this mean that my EGT is high/too hot, which means I am running lean? This happened once, my buddy said that fire came out of my exhaust, about almost a foot long! The car is driving fine and nothing seems to be wrong. Just a little concerned.

Unburned Fuel That goes in to the Exhaust when you let of the gas to change gear, throtle plate closes,no air just few drops of fuel in the Car system and there is no air to burn the fuel...when the fuel reaches the end of the exhaust it finds oxigen and than it burns - thus the Great Fire Effect that e all love..
Plus the Fuel Cools your Exhuast system as a added bonus.

Wow that was a sweet video.
1 question though, do you have black smoke coming out all the time cause of that?

^ not the flames as such, but running too rich (and we're talking pretty damn rich here) over a long period of time can shorten the life of your o2 sensors apart from not being good for the general health of the engine.
