Making some very rough estimates, a stock s2000 makes 200whp. If you want to double that to 400whp, you need to double the air density, so a pressue ratio of 2.0. Using the rough guideline of 10whp per 1 lb/min of mass flow, 400whp = 40 lbs/min of mass flow.
Looking at the GT3076 map, that's around 74%-75% efficiency. On the GTX3076, it's 77%-78%. A GTX3071 is 75%.
If we want 500whp, ~50 lbs/min, 2.5 PR (~22psi at the turbo outlet, ~18-19psi at the manifold). GT3076 = ~68%, GTX3076 = 75%, GTX3071 = ~71%. So this is where the big gains are. And the GTX3071 is still better than the regular 3076.
The really really big gains for the GTX3076 over the regular GT will be in the 55+ lbs/min range.

I think the inability to run a kit due to the manifold not being able to run lower boost is in fact a "flaw" with the kit, and I can understand why some would be a little disappointed in this fact. As others said, some of us looking at a kit are looking for something between a greddy and a Mase kit. Perhaps with a slightly smaller turbo though it would help lessen the creeping problem. We'll have to see..

Do 500hp+ Z06 corvettes and vipers have a boost by gear option on the race track? I'm not so savvy in this.
From what I've been told, you can only regulate the power with the throttle, please correct me if i'm wrong...thanks!

#2 From what you said it still sounds like this kit isn't a good fit for you. Unless you build your own kit from the ground up to do exactly what you want there isn't a kit available that will fit every potential customers goals. PTuning has been very clear on what to expect for boost response, horsepower, trackability, and potential of the kit. Stop complaining in their thread that the kit isn't a good fit for you.

that price seems a little high for a kit that doesn't include an EMS, but damn that's a gorgeous manifold.
