mine never broke put around 12k miles on it ,but i did put a small spring in between a longer bolt and the nut it stays put until you pull hard on it so it gives it a liltle bit of play if it needs....i also have hasport driver side mount so engine does'nt really move.

Can anyone give me advice on tuning the idle area with this kit for when the fan comes on? Basically the car idles great otherwise (still working on the tune though) but as soon as the fan comes on (in idle) it pretty much craps out. Should I increase my ignition timing vs RPM map? I'm at a loss.

I'm on AEM EMS v2 (AEMtuner).

my car has died multiple times as soon as my fans cut on.. I try to blimp the gas as soon as I feel the power surge.. It would be nice if this was fixable in AEM

My guess is that as soon as the fans kick on, it's sending very hot air directly into the intake. The ecu is probably too slow to account for the drastic change in intake temperature. Have you datalogged the air intake temp when the fans kick on?

With higher load rad fans it can drop the voltage enough to cause issues. The IAC is similar to injectors.. when the voltage drops, the duty needs to be increased to maintain air flow.

Look at your voltage, If it drops below 12 volts then you can add more duty to the "idle extra <12 Volt" setting. this way if the ems sees the voltage drop it will add more duty.

If the voltage doesnt drop and its just the extra load on the engine thats killing it, then add more timing so that the engine is creating more torque at idle.
