problem with precision 6262 turbo any suggestions
So I have a pfab t3 manifold had a 5758 turbo. Replaced it with a brand new out the box precision 6262 ball bearing turbo. I have a 45 degree -10 line going from the turbo to the girdle and a 3a line from the turbo to the side of the block. For some reason the turbo is dripping oil from the nipple in the front of the turbo where my manual boost controller is suppose to hook up to. Has anybody had this problem or know what might be wrong with it? I would really really appreciate the help. I'm going to ship it out, but just wondering if somebody has had similar problem.

Check the bolts that connected the center section to the compressor housing. If those are loose, it will leak like that. I had this happen with a new 6262 and tightened it up and it was good to go.

No problem and let us know how it turns out.

Ball bearing turbo's almost always need a restrictor in the oil feed line, that is probably why it's pushing oil out, I would buy a restrictor before you send it off to pay someone to check it because that is most likely the problem.

Precision had a restrictor already on my BB 6466, did your 6262 come that way also? My 6262 was the JB so it didn't need one. If it didn't come with a restrictor, that may be the issue and I have a new one laying around somewhere I could sell cheap, maybe $25. I can't remember what they are going for or what I paid but I never ended up using it way back when I got it.

I was told that my turbo brings a built in restrictor. They have a warning sticker if you tamper with it at all it voids the warranty. I tried tightening the bolts at this point I'm gonna ship it out and see what they say. I'll keep you guys posted I've read that a decent amount of people have problems with them fresh out the box.
