When I spoke to Chris from Bullhead Gears, that $5700 price for the PPG synchro gearset was with the reduction gear also if I remember correctly. He said it comes with everything I will need to handle 900 whp and the only other things I will need to do is replace the OEM bearings and synchro's if they are worn or bad.

Reduction or "drop gears" as PPG calls them are $1500 by themselves. I know because I ordered these first for my stock trans....haha.

Do you have to get the PPG reduction gear or is the OEM ok?

Why would Bullhead Gears quote me a price on a synchro gearset that will handle 900 whp if it didnt come with the reduction gear? Or do they know it doesnt need it and the OEM will be fine?

Yes we can get the parts, but it will probably be a few months from time of order. And figure roughly 800 bucks shipped for 2nd gear and 1-2 dog ring.

Also, due to exchange rate this dog set is about $8500+ w/o drop gear. Drop gears are about $1800

Sycnrho sets are about $5100 w/o drop gear, I would say $2500 down, with $1000 of it being non-refundable, probably 8-12 weeks to complete. I can do a drop gear deal for $1300 on this.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks

So, $6400 for the PPG synchro gearset with the reduction gear?

Do you have to get the PPG reduction gear or will the OEM work?

Chris from Bullhead gears quoted me the synchro gearset for $5700 and he said it is all I need and will handle 900 whp. He never mentioned the reduction gear, so does that mean the OEM reduction gear will be fine to handle 900 whp?
