You should probably do a little more research on putting a turbo kit on an S2000 before you buy any kit, especially a kit sold on ebay. Don't get me wrong, I buy stuff off of ebay all the time, but a turbo kit may not be the best thing. First of all, this kit is a long way from being complete. You need: engine management (piggyback or stand alone computer), high pressure fuel pump, fuel injectors, downpipe, oil filter relocation kit, air filter for turbo, and who knows what other little misc items. Not to mention gauges.

I would personally stay away from this "kit". The price looks good, but you will end up spending double the price of the kit to get all the supporting mods necessary to make it work.

I did about two months of research on this forum and other places before I bought a turbo kit and I was able to install it myself, but it took a pretty long time. As for where to get a kit installed, you need to call local shops and see if they have ever installed turbo kits on a S2000 specifically. I wouldn't want to take my car somewhere that has never installed a turbo on a S before.

Just be patient, do research and call around before you decide on a kit and before you decide on an installer (if you don't think you can do it yourself).

Good luck!

that looks like a lot of parts - and some will be used some wont - you will also require a lot more, this is not a bolt on and go kit, it would require fab work on the charge pipes, down pipe, injectors?, and how are they tuning this thing? turbo is a little small but should spool quick and give you 350 hp. ---- this kit i would not use, if wanting to go with a ebay kit look for the godspeed kit, upgrade turbo to 3076 and that wouold be a good start. you should be able to do the complete kit installed & tuned 400hp for around $5000

There is no way to get a new and complete bolt on turbo kit installed and tuned for $3000. If you are on that tight a budget than you shouldn't go turbo because there are always things that "pop up" or break or something, especially at the beginning. I bought a used Greddy turbo kit for 1950.00. That's the cheapest I have seen. I had to buy a fuel pump (110.00) and misc hardware and vacuume lines, just to make the kit bare bones operational. I then installed it myself (saved myself 500-1000), put on a high flow cat (250), got AEM tru boost and wideband gauges and A pillar pod (625), used synchronic BOV (135), then got it tuned (250). I still need a good 3" exhaust and another tune just to get to about 300 whp, but I got to 275 whp for roughly $3,300.00. To get to 300 whp I will spend another 800.

The Greddy is a base kit and pretty much tops out around 300whp. Just start looking around on the web for used kits, but I don't think you will ever be able to buy a kit, get it professionally installed, and tuned for 3K.

Turbo Tune in Greensboro. Mark is awesome and has done many turboed S2000s. The last AP1 Greddy kit he did with 70mm turbo back exhaust at 10 psi did 307whp and 230ish ft lbs torque. He wants me to get a good 3" exhaust and retune for 10 psi and I should be in the same area. I am having some issues going lean (12.5-13.5 AF) about 6500 + RPMs when I turn the boost up to about 10 psi. He can't get it to richen back up, so he is getting an adaptor to fit the S2000 to check the fuel pressure at high RPMs. He thinks my fuel pump could be the problem. So right now I am staying at 8.5-9 psi until I get that figured out.

He also tuned a S2000 in west Jefferson that put down 650 whp!! Highly recommend him!

You always get what you pay for.. that is how i look at most things i buy. A turbo kit for 999.00 is not going to be the best out there. Mite break in a few months and then you will have to spend more money down the road. I say buy a brand name kit, becuase you are also buy the company that stands by its product.
