You also need the clutch and some of us can't do the install in their garage. So we'll be paying for space or for someone else to do it.

I already have the CC twin and will only have to change the disc's and my DSS driveshaft should only need the yolk changed since it's on a slide shaft. So this is about what it will cost me for the v160 swap; $6500 with a new v160 (cheaper if I find a good used version), give or take some.

You can get the new v160 with warranty through inline6performance.com for around $5500 shipped and I'm sure if a group buy was started, it would drop some from there, but we would have to contact them to find out.

I would hope that the FB kit comes with the trans mount and things.

If I had it to do over again, with the parts that are available now, I would no doubt have the Ford 8.8 IRS setup and the V160 trans.

I was just working with the parts that were available back then, and it was the PPG gears, reduction gear and R200 diff.

Nope, just the adaptor plate, the bolts, the shifter bracket, and the trans mount support bracket. You still need to buy the OEM mount to go in between.

It's still a pretty expensive process regardless if you get the gears for the stock trans or the V160. But if in fact the stock case is weak, then you can just throw all that money out the door cause you're more than likely going to screw up the gear set in the process of destroying the transmission.

yeauup, looks like V160 is a better option, I asked Evans, he feels V160 is a better route as well
