Default Novi 1000 blower rebuild/service schedule?

For you guys out there with lots of mileage on your CTSC kit, has your Novi 1000 blower needed any sort of service/rebuild? What is the typical life of the blower, is it supposed to be service free for the life of the blower or needs to be taken apart and seals replaced etc every 50/70/100K miles?

Is it normal to have some small amounts of oil weeping out of the compressor?

Mileage will vary, but you should not be leaking any oil, that means some seals are going bad. Maintenance just depends, and if you see oil then its service/rebuild time.

I used www.superchargerrebuilds.com to have mine rebuilt which consisted of ABEC-7 bearings and all seals + labor = $550

Did you ship directly to them for the rebuild or did you have someone do it for you locally?
Shipped directly, it was fast, less than a week all together.

Thanks guys, the kit I'm looking at has around 60K miles and probably needs to be rebuilt before going on my car. I will check out that vendor as they are within 1 hr driving distance from me.

Should I be looking for a seals only rebuild ($250) or bearings as well at 60K miles on the unit?

That's true, I guess I'm cheap and don't like spending $ if it's not essential. Also I'm getting the kit for a good price from a friend so I'm trying to keep this thing a budget setup.

Forgot to ask why you had yours rebuilt, was it also leaking? How many miles on the unit at the rebuild?
