Default normal to have a puff of smoke when gunning it?

hi guys,

ok here's the scenario... so i'm mid throttle (just coasting) at 2nd gear around 5000 rpm then when I decide to gun it, I leave a nice plum of white maybe blueish smoke behind me but only for that one second that I gunned it since the smoke's not chasing me. Is this normal or is this something I have to be concerned with? I know the color of the smoke tells the story but I can't tell if it's blueish or white since I don't have time to look back and stare at it while at full boost.

It only happens when I floor it instantaenously, never happens when I accelerate smoothly.

I have a VTSC on 11.5lbs. Plugs gapped .28, F22 with AP1 cams. A/F is in acceptable numbers during runs.

thanks any input is appreciated.

Color of the smoke is very important. Have someone follow you and tell you exactly what it is.

Black smoke = fuel
Blue smoke = oil
White smoke = coolant/water

Check, but you're probably okay. I have a TP and mine puffs out some smoke (black) initially at WOT.
