I can understand it's more free flowing, but having a full 3"downpipe/exhaust system, i doubt there is much to win.
I don't know if i would "take" a few ponies over the sound of a jet plane those things tend to produce..
I do like the spooling sound a a nice whoosh/wwhistle from the bov.. Im already afraid the 3" single headerback will be ALOT louder then when it was on my greddy setup ( 2,25"downpipe, small 1" recirculated wastegate ) compared to a 3"DP with 44mm external wastegate...
But im guessing i could always make the dumptube recirculated at a muffler shop..

Nyther do you live in the united states or the Netherlands ?
If you do live in the Netherlands how are the emissions laws in your country ?
Open dump provides you with better flow and could net you 15-20whp at a given boost level.
I was faced with picking between open dump and re circ this summer and my tuner advised open dump for stated reason above.
Open dump only makes noise when you're pushing the car hard not when you're just cruising around town. Its on the loud side but not too much louder volume wise than my FIPK intake was when I was NA. Its a different kind of noise though.... I love it.
You can always get an exhaust shop to change your open dump to a re circ setup if you hate it after the fact.

I've had the GT3076R on my last three turbo builds (B series Civics, w/e), and I'm a fan. However, I have no experience with the GTX series turbos. What I can tell you from experience is that you want the anti-compressor surge housing.
But, you are slightly against the noise. Correct me if I'm wrong people, but the open dump only opens up when the WG bleeds off boost. If you're not getting on it, you wouldn't even know. So it's not that big of a deal. However, with the anti-compressor surge housing, you will definitely hear the turbo spooling. At 17psi, my 30R sounds like a gym whistle.

Last question guys,
Standard, the gtX3071r is equipped with a .82 AR housing. But i could always go for the .63 or the larger .103? version
I know it will affect spool time / torque levels at high rpm. But what would be the best combo with my setup? So pfab elm mani, full 3" dp/exhaust
Thanks!
