oh yeah what engine management are you using?
I went with the AEM EMS + UEGO.
I have yet to buy any gauges but I am seriously looking into these in my thread from this morning...

Some more background.
I initially wanted 350-375 rwhp and to keep my stock headgasket. Ya convinced me to go with the 3mm and turn up the boost. The new goal was set at 400 rwhp.
I wanted very quick spool up for autocrossing and good all around response. I picked out the GT3076R turbo and made sure to get the B sized compressor housing so that no frame cutting was necessary. This turbo is absolutely bite sized compared to a GT35. You can really see where it shines in the mid-range performance. The top end torque drop off is mainly a result of the exhaust being restrictive. I think the turbo still has quite a bit left in her. A less dramatic drop off would occur with a free flowing 3" single but like I've said before, I want this thing quiet. For now. Maybe.
Anyways, I'm psyched about the turbo response. I mean cruising around at 1200-1500 RPM is now and option because it actually has some boost down there!!!! It REALLY starts building boost around 3,000 RPM on up to the poing of AllHellBreakingLoose at 5,500 RPM. But still not in the hammer in the back sort of way. Just more and more surge. Very progressive. Very exciting

my main worry is people say the daily drivabilty is not so good. What are your thoughs of the out of boost feel?
Into the picture comes the turbo selection....
In the reasonable RPM realm of 2500-9000 RPM, boost is on tap VERY quickly. Serious levels of boost come on at 3300ish but there is a LOT of additional torque available even as low as 1500 RPM. I mean I was cruising around in 3rd gear at 7 mph and i could accelerate like I was in second.
I was worried that the lowered compression ratio would cause a sort of hesitant and lazy low rpm response when off boost. Wrong. The engine feels stronger EVERYWHERE. As far as power application goes, all I can say is that it pulls harder everywhere and MUCH MUCH MUCH harder from 3000 on up. SICK.
I was more curious than worried about what the deceleration would feel like due to the lower compression. Lower compression leads to less compression breaking. This is one area that is immediately noticeable. The compression has been lowered about 20% and along with that went the compression braking. Honestly though, I'm not sure thats a bad thing. Going from slight throttle to no throttle and back used to cause bucking sometimes. Now its pretty damn smooth.
I'm VERY happy with the tune if you can't tell. The Inline guys really know their craft...

hearing you go on and on about your setup is cool, I can't wait to get my car back (a week) I'll be about 100hp short of you but I'm getting mine built for auto-x, you understand you'll be sideways the whole time right?

Yeah, our SCCA region has a test and tune weekend coming up in early March. I'll assess the ability to put down the power then. Might even have R comps on for it. I'm thinking I'll just put the car in second and play a little game of modulation. Before it was was full throttle in first, brake, turn, full throttle in first....
At least I'll sound awesome as I'm side swiping cones
