my stock coolent temp on dash does not work!
I just boosted my car with a very basic setup.
here my turbo link

The only problem i have is that my stock water temp gauge on the dash does not work. When ever the car is on all the bars are always light up. I was under the impresion that this was only a issue with the aem series 1 but i have the aem series 2 ems, which should run the stock coolent gauge. I also have an AEM serial gauge, which reads the coolent temp straight off the EMS just fine, so i know the car is not over heating or anything.
My tuner Shawn Church also does not know the problem.
any help would be great.

^That is for the original AEM boxes, I was under the impression that the temperature gauge would work normally with the AEM Series 2 boxes.
Sounds like there is something wrong with the calibration for the temp gauge output?

anyone else have any ideas? All theother s2000 at the dyno and all the s2000's that my tuner, shawn church has tuned with the series 2 all run the stock temp gauge fine.

i also forgot to meantion. When i was being tuned, my tuner took my ems and used it on another s2000 in the shop to see if it would run the stock water temp gauge and it did work. So, the tuner pretty much says there is something wrong with my car.
but before i put the turbo in the can was bone stock and everything worked fine.

that's weird.. My aem version 2 temp gauge works just fine as well.
So you're saying that your car's temp worked just fine before the AEM. but when Shawn used it.. it didnt work yet when he plugged it into another s2000 it did work.
have you tried plugging the stock ecu back in? you may have to change the injectors and what not and see if the gauge works.

yes that is correct. i really dont want to plug the stock ecu back inbecause my car is boosted now and i would have to change to the stock injectors. Plus i'm sure it would work because before the car was boosted it was 100$ stock and there was no problems with anything.
Is there any settings in the aem series 2 that needs to be calibrated? maybe a pin in the harness is bad?
