Smile My problems continue...

Well, I decided to go down to the garage this morning and clean the "front" part of my under-carriage. This was the first time doing so since having my turbo kit installed. I started off by doing a visual inspection of all the parts underneath, and found some "minor" oil leaks around a couple of bolts/fittings. The first leak is coming from the oil pan drain plug. I believe that the drain plug is simply missing the washer--easy fix. The second leak (possible leak) is coming from the oil return line fitting that was tapped into the oil pan.

I am not sure if there is an actual leak at this point as the thread fitting, which I am about to mention, is located above and may be leaking down onto return line fitting. The third leak is coming from one or both of the fittings from the oil relocation kit (the part which is mounted to the block). I am not exactly sure which part of the fitting is leaking. Since the kit was installed my plan has been to replace these two oil lines with Earl's SS lines and fittings.

Overall the leaks are not bad at this point. I only drive the car once or so a week, and it will simply sit until I resolve these oil leaks. Gotta love all the extra problems associated with modifying a car.

I hear you. Needless to say I am very dissappointed in the shop that did the install. They messed up on a number of things, and now I am paying other people to correct the problems. Thankfully I try and keep my S really clean so should a fluid leak happen I can detect it pretty easy.

Welcome to the wonderful world of turbocharging. I can joke with you about this because I have been there, done that with resolving problems (including a mysterious oil leak), but I installed the kit myself. If I paid someone for the install and I had oil leaks then I would be pissed. I'm sure you will get it resolved though, its not the end of the world, don't get too upset about it.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I am not overally concerned because it isn't like I was out driving around and my engine blew because I ran out of oil. I found the problem(s) prior to anything major and now they will be resolved. It just sucks to spend money on stuff like this instead of on new mods!
