This is an odd one. Neeman made 600+whp and trapped 135+ with the same setup (turbo, manifold).
Good work none the less!

Regardless, as you can see by the dyno sheets, the spool is damn near identical, so even if there was only 40hp difference, it still doesn't make sense to do the divided housing on this turbo.

The RX-7 guys ran into issues with the divided T4 GT35R turbine housings. One of the companies (A-Spec) offered a 1.06 housing that was said to be custom and much larger and less restrictive than the other options. That may be worth looking into for anyone having problems.

Why would his setup be so restrictive, when mine wasnt, whats different?
If I don't get to 600whp i'll let you know.
My engine is at 9.5:1 with Darton sleeves, fully built head as well, AP1 cams, 2.2l displacement (AP2 crank)

The best I could figure out was that at 2.0 liters at 9:1 compression and AP1 cams, my exhaust pressures were high. The divided just couldn't flow fast enough. JoeyBalls has an AP2 with AP2 cams. Good luck with your tune. I'll be interested to see how you do.

We're dynoing it on an engine dyno so we can also measure the backpressure
