Tru boost is not the same as their digital boost gauge.

Sata- check for vac leaks if you are seeing 14's

wouldnt his idle be more than 900 if he had a vac leak? or the car would be surging up and down?

I'll check again for leaks. It's weird that it only happens when car is hot or I do a hot restart

Mine has been sitting at around 20 at idle. I think its the heat...

that is weird. def something fishy with the gauge if i had to guess. try a different mechanical gauge and see what that does.
