MORE starting issues
Okay, I locked my last thread a bit back as I thought we had found the solution to my problem. Unfortunately more testing, still not fixed.
THE ISSUE :
5-10 Seconds of Continuous Cranking Before the Car Starts.
BEGAN :
Noticed spark blowout at high boost levels; regapped spark plugs to .026'. Blowout went away, but starting issues began.
DIAGNOSE :
Blown motor and coolant leaking into cylinders.
FIX :
New Motor.
THE ISSUE (round II) :
5-10 Seconds of Continuous Cranking Before Starting.
BEGAN :
Immediately after getting the car back from shop.
Timeline of Fixes :
1) Question Tune. Take care to Custom Car Care (Authorized Hondata Tuner), Inline Pro, ShueTuning, and Tuners Edge (Lock Hondata Tuner).
- No Luck. All state tune looks fine.
2) Regap Spark Plugs to .034'
- No Luck, misfire began and still wouldn't start.
3) Coil packs from another known working S2000
- No luck, still hesitates to start.
4) Disconnect Purge Solenoid.
- No luck, still hesitates to start.
5) Notice oil on spark plug #4. Replace spark plug grommets.
- No luck.
6) Notice cam sensor not tight. Tighten.
- No luck.
7) Learn from Jeff Evans that these injectors are known for leaking after hot shut down, filling cylinders will fuel. I then proceed to remove my fuel injectors from the cylinders after each drive & putting them back in when I'm ready to drive again.
- FIRES IMMEDIATELY! 4 Days of multiple attempts each day, car fires perfectly!
8) Figure based on test #7, purchase new Siemens Deka 900cc Injectors.
- No luck. New injectors in, still hesitates to start.
9) Realize there are no fuel injector seals on the manifold side of my injectors. Purchase new ones.
- No luck.
10) Question cranking fuel. Remove fuel in 10% increments.
- No luck.
Does anyone have any idea's, anything that I can check?

I apologize, normally I include a mod list.
Inline Pro Allenbuild Block 9:1 Compression
Stock Head
Hondata FlashPro
Inline Pro Turbo Kit SC5865
20psi
Siemens Deka 900cc Injectors
Online Pro Return Fuel System
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
Inline Pro Fuel Rail
Hondata 4Bar Map Sensor
Test #11 : Compression Check
- No luck. 10psi variance between highest and lowest cylinder pressure.

sounds like something may be up with the pump causing it to over pressurize your return-less system and then give you the leak-through on the injectors.
maybe buy a new oem FPR and put it in along side your oem pump. test drive. let it sit. and try to fire it up.
^im thinking you're high pressure pump may have acted inversely on the fpr causing it to get suck at a higher pressure.
this is an odd situation. but keep on it. you'll figure it out. its not magic.

Ok what is the resolution on the IAT comp table for cranking fuel? Here is my quote from the first thread:
I can't see photo hosting sites from work so if you post a pic try to do it through s2ki so I can see it

I apologize guys, I did forget to add two items to my mod list... they are now edited in. Inline Pro Return Fuel System (including a fuel lab FPR) and Walbro 255 Fuel Pump.
The test that I'm currently trying is removing the injector clips each time I park the car in thoughts that the ECU might be magically providing giving.the injector a pulse while the car is stopped. I know its a long shot, but I figure its worth a try
Test #12 Results :
- No Luck.

I gave that a shot last time, no luck.
I've seen IAT roughly between 75' and 105'. Unfortunately no adjustments in either of those fields, nor ECT Comp Values or Cracking Fuel Trim.
