Default Max power on a walbro 450?

Whats the most power i can run on a single walbro 450? I've heard of some people running them with a pretty significant amount of power. I just dont want to go dual pump if its not needed.

thanks

I wouldn't say this is the norm, but a couple k series people have made 800+ on a single 450.

A lot will depend on injectors / pressures.

1650s 50 base on a single 450, -8 feed from tank, making 7+ never seen a pressure drop.

throwing some 2150s in soon, and plan on seeing how well the 450 does..

85% ethanol.

I have made 620whp for years on E85 with the walbro 450. I know lots of people are making over 700whp on e85with them. I would guess the walbro 450 will support somewhere between 700-800whp on E85 and over 1000whp on race gas.

I think anything over 700whp should have a dual pump setup just to be safe, anything under that should be fine depending on injector size. Dw just came out with a dw400 that they claim outperforms the 450, but I don’t know anyone running them yet.

I looked into this pump a little bit. I don't know if they tested a walbro 450, but their numbers are off compared to walbro's 450 chart (which makes their own numbers lose a little credibility for me). It'd be nice to see an independent test of both.
