Because a supercharger is belt driven therefore the boost is based on what the belt is turning not based on the acutation of a blowoff or bypass actuator which could allow spikes to hit 15-16 PSI which could in theory with enough spikes blow your headgasket. my 2 cents.

Power blows motors, not psi.

That makes no sense whatsoever. The bov doesn't control boost the wastegate does. I think it has more to do with on a turbo you hit 12 psi earlier and the engine is seeing that 12 psi for much longer whereas on a supercharger your only hitting 12psi at redline.

That's VERY untrue for a great many of the superchargers out there (and the better ones IMO). And yet, s/c are still consistantly more reliable in both OEM and aftermarket situations.

I'd say the boost spike comment is more accurate. When that happens and your electronics don't respond instantly, a KABOOOM can quickly follow. Loose/pinched hoses, electronics issues, and so on can pop up much easier on a turbo car, due to the additional complexity.

Not hating on turbos - great way to make big power. I just don't see it ever being as reliable.

as far as the injectors goes depends on how much power you want to make im at 410 (14psi) with 650cc on a ctsc tuned at churches place..church tells me i have some room left in em..

im running a .070 headgasket and an alaniz head stock bottom.. I suppose it depends on how safe you want to be...if you want to build the bottom end or not..

Mmm I don't know if thats entirely true. A higher/ better efficiency motor makes power also, does a more efficient running engine mean I'm at the same risk say making 375whp at 8psi vs a guy running a lesser efficient engine producing the same power but pushing 12 psi? Not sure about that.

Dont take me as knocking your car because I'm not at all, HOWEVER Church's dyno is notorious for reading higher then normal HP numbers.
I've been saying that For SOOOOOOO LONG!!! its almost like..... subtracting 30-45hp to get the actually REAL WHP to the ground.

maybe because it's a Dynapack.

^^^ Because they have lots of article written out of the auto rags there. IIRC they had one of the first GT-R dyno's done and it was way higher then anyone expected. Everything I've heard says their shop and the people that work there are excellent and know their stuff but their dyno is whack.

Like you said its too bad since they're very well respected.
