the stock components can handle the power with the right tuning. But you won't reach those numbers without race fuel. These motors are awesome and very strong.

if your only at 13lbs now...why not give it a retune and go for 15lbs? thats still gonna be in the range of 20-30 more hp

It was 13psi with a 50 trim Garrett. I bought a 70 trim now from precision... At 15 psi I should roughly be at 500+ the tuner said. Just wondering if more boost was gunna b safe

how are you at 10:1 compression? are you using a 2mm hg or something off the beaten path?

most people that build their motors for boost often go with a 9:1 setup.

its funny, but doesnt the psi directly relate to the size of the turbo, size of the piping, volume its filling before it gets to the IM, efficency of mani blah blah?

i say this becuase my crappy 18t vw ran 26psi spikes and held 20psi thru most of the rev range. but i assure you 26 psi on that turbo was hardly any AIR VOLUME, and def was not the same as 26 psi on a s2k with a gt35 and ELTM. vw ko3S turbo on our car would hardly make prolly 10psi at 8k rpm.

anyways, its hard to relate psi to power, since its the volume of air that you really want to know. now, saying 10:1 CR, how much power pumppiss can i do is prolly a more relavant question.

500whp should be attainable on pump gas with your setup. at the least 450-475. anything beyond that with your setup, yeah race gas or meth/water injection.

also, calc the dynamic compression to see where you really are at.

good luck.

No you dont wish you were running 9 to 1. LOL.
The cams are too big for that. Your perfect the way you are. And if you havent seen the all out war going on lately with info on head gaskets, you simply need to search 3mm and you will learn a ton
You have the perfect setup. And with a good tuner, can throw whatever you want at it.
Remember there have been a few s2's making 700+ on all STOCK engine.
So the motor will handle whatever you can give it.
Its all on your tuner. Id say youll be able to get 500ish on pump with most tuners. Wanna get closer to the edge, your gonna need someone like mase who has done it, and knows whats going on.
Keep us posted, need any info PM me. I dont mind helping.
