I would HIGHLY recommend everyone tap the girdle instead of the pan. One less thing to worry about.

30 plus psi of oil pressure and gravity, should not make a difference if you tap the pan or the girdle, hell the comptech uses the oil drain bolt and has no problems...

2nd... dude with the mase kit, take off the vtec solenoid oil pressure sending unit, not need with ems and wont burn up

It does make a difference. The oil pan slants towards the passenger side and blocks the return flow back into the pan. Backing up the drain turns '30 psi' into a substantially higher number and blows up turbo seals in no time. Just because it works on a SC doesn't mean anything to a turbo.

Lets see a pic of your pan tap.
here's yours... i just finished it up...

what i did, spray it down with some simple green, inside and out... let it set...

scrub it down with a wheel brush.. hose it off.. drill it (i used "tap magic" to help with the drilling process) then repeat the cleaning process..

hit it with a burr grinder accordingly (to make it look like pic #1)

tack it on the outside, the warm it up and weld it on the inside..

Awesome work Nick! Thanks for doing this for me. I feel a lot better about this part of the kit now. Hopefully this will help others about where to place the tap. I really did not want to tap the girdle.

What if you had an oil filter relocation kit? Could you run the turbos oil feed and return lines through that?

A couple of questions. How long is the wait for this kit and what size downpipe is that? It looks kinda small.
