Keep them as short as possible. I have mine no longer than 1 foot each way.

The fact that your solenoid works cold, but not when hot suggests to me that the length of your lines aren't the culprit.

that location than you have pictured looks great to me. That location does not get that hot at all. I say you problems are else where. Make sure the wireing and vaccum lines is good and not pinched somewhere. Or maybe the mac solenoid is going out.

Can you elaborate on how you have configured your MAC solenoid to operate? E.g. when it kicks in & out

On the surface it seems like you're running the solenoid on continuous duty which is making it over-heat. Has the MAC ever worked successfully when you initially bought & installed it?

Im not sure how its configured my tuner did all the configuration, its wired to my aem version 2 and to power under the dash, where it turns on with ignition, when I first wired it, I wired it straight to the battery for to have it installed quick to tune my car that day, I left it to the battery for about 3 months before I decided to change the power source to under the dash because it was killing my battery, maybe I fried it during that time n its not working right. I still think its a heat issue though ,

The MAC site suggests a max temperature range of about 120F for most of their solenoids. Maybe take some temperature readings around the area you have your solenoid mounted to see if you're breaking that range or not.
