Kraftwerks 92 blower. Worth it?
I am getting the LHT Kraftwerks kit done in July with LHT catch can, clutch upgrade, skunk 2 header, upgraded keepers and retainers.
My question. I opted for the 92 blower upgrade ($500).
is this upgrade worth while with the LHT kit ?

You are already paying for a subpar kit; so might as well get the most power out of it
You should ask if you are getting a old ribbed style kit or the new belt driven kit
LHT does great work but I would of went with a strong kit that has less issues
SOS stage 2 will make a bit less peak whp but has way less downfalls then the KW kit
There is a huge forum on facebook of S2000 KW supercharger owners I'm not saying it's a crap kit when it works it's great
But man there are some horror stories on this kit.

the changes that LHT has done to this kit made me want it. I just wanted to know if the blower upgrade would make sure it was worth while

I know they add there own ARP hardware and I think if your blower will last the upgrade is worth the extra power
It's like that with anything is $500 going to buy you more happiness I would say yes and it's worth it

The -92 is worth the upgrade. It yields roughly 10% more power, which translates to about 40-60 more whp depending on ap1 or ap2. Seeing as there isn't much that can be done to make more power with supercharged setups nearly as easily as a turbo car, $500 for 40-60 more whp is a good deal in that sense.
All of that being said, I'd implore you to do either one of 2 things: #1) would be to ensure that the KW kit you're getting installed is the latest kit offered by them - the one that's driven by a serpentine belt setup. If not, avoid it like the plague. The cog drive system is simply too harsh for a street car, placing wayyyy too much load on mounting hardware and every other component of the kit itself because the belt has no ability to stretch or slip. There's a reason why LHT stopped offering the Kraftwerks kit as of like 9 months to a year ago, and quietly transitioned to SOS; the amount of outcries of failures of both KW kits installed by them and KW kits in general were just too loud to keep trying to drape the sheet over under the pretense of "installer error" or "abuse". KW re-designed the kit for a reason. IF it's the new serpentine drive, I'd be willing to take the plunge, but just make sure that's made absolutely clear before going ahead with it. #2) Have an SoS supercharger kit installed. Not much to say here, if you go this route, you're almost guaranteed to never have an issue. SoS is a quality kit/company that's made here in the USA. Look for SoS kit failures. If you can even find one, it would put the failure ratio to maybe 1:1000 vs KW respectively.
I can beat the point of KW being unreliable to death, and I have. I contributed quite a bit to a thread on here about how to potentially make the kit more reliable by compiling all of the little tweaks LHT has done...and yet it still sucked. I kinda wish I hadn't done that, as I feel it might've given some people the confidence to move forward with the kit and ultimately let them down.
All I can say is, if it's the old 30mm cog drive KW kit, do NOT install it on your car under any circumstance if you care about it.
