Default K-Pro or AEM for KW Kit?

Hey guys,

Stuck in a dilemma at the moment. Have my KW kit and just need to buy the last couple of things to make it a complete kit. My main concern atm is buying a used 1012 AEM EMS or stand alone K-Pro. The price is marginally greater with the K-Pro being twice the price of a used AEM. What I'm looking for is some insight as to why a lot of people suggest getting the K-Pro over an AEM EMS; keep in mind this is for an 04 AP2 so it isn't DBW.

I've seen that the AEM EMS has some issues with idle and hiccups, but a good tuner would be able to eliminate that. Tried searching for the question I'm looking for, but couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Another thing, I have the RC 650cc injectors provided with the KW kit, should I just upgrade to some 750cc injectors in addition?

Would have posted this in EMS section, but no one is responding and this is related to my KW kit. Thanks!

Curious about this too. If he were to go with 750cc injectors, which ones would be easiest to install? The larger injectors will provide more power correct? The K-Pro would pass emissions as well I believe.

Thinking about getting K-Pro with KW high boost kit next year for MY01.

i had AEM and it is a very nice system, but i am going with KPRO instead because my tuner is by far more proficent with hondata, all in all i would say whatever your tuner wants is what you should get

I'd want to get the kit tuned by Mase for sure. Just not sure what he'd prefer in terms of the EMS of choice.

Call Mase and ask. He will tell you what he is more proficient with and that should hands down make your decision easy.

As for the injectors. I would highly reccomend the Injector Dynamics 725cc or 1000cc injectors! And for ease of install there are the plug and play clips you can get for a little extra. I will just say, it took me less than ten minutes to install my 725cc IDs and I have never even taken the fuel rail cover off before so much as the touched the injectors.

Mase will have an AEM running better than stock. He tuned mine with Hondata and Alex's (LEX) on an AEM. His AP1 made 370 whp on a dynojet with the AEM with 140k miles on the motor ...

I can arrange for you to take a ride on either car if you want.

Just get the AEM if its cheaper.

ID's are suppose to be the best. No point in upgrading to RC750's over the kit supplied 650's. Since the 650's are matched to support the max output of the KW kit, moving to 750's won't make you any more power. Either stick with the 650's which will be sufficient for your kit, or upgrade to a more advanced injecotrs such as the ID's which have a superior partial throttle atomization. The 725's will be more then enough for your kit. If the kit was upgradable, I'd say the ID 1000's may be a better choice, but those will support over 600whp, you wont quite get there with the 10psi KW kit

My town just started emissions testing and I cant decide if I should register my car somewhere else or if I should switch to k-pro from my current 1052u.
