wow...can't beleive you're not happy with GReddy kit..
I checked out their dyno at DSport mag...4K they are at 200
crank HP whereas stock at 4K is 110 crankHP!
Low conservative reliable boost..CARB legal...and the ability
to go up another 75whp if desired.
And averaging 230 lb. ft. crank between 2.5K to 5.5K....this
solves any torque issues you might have with the S.
Never thought I'd go FI..but this kit is very attractive.

Nice prices. I will definitely let you know when I'm ready to purchase. Probably close to summer.
Sweet dyno Turbost00k. Power comes in sooner than I expected. Btw, what clutch are you using?
Anybody track their car with this kit? Seems like overheating will be an issue. I'm definitely getting this kit, but it would be nice to be able to track without any issues.
Thanks for all the input again guys.

I went from nitrous and boost to stock for the past 6 months. The car is fun to drive still but so slow that I'm embarrassed to run anything i see.
I feel like my nuts have been chopped off

The issue is that just as the T518Z gets fully spooled and you think it's gonna make the jump to lightspeed, it runs out of breath. It only takes one or two WOT pulls to realize how much power can be had with boost, but the Greddy kit is too limited to do it. Remember, 110 crank hp @ 4k is nothing. Civics make more than that. And sadly, 200 isn't very much either.
To explain it another way - with a Greddy kit, you'd have to fight to stay ahead of a bone stock 135i or 335i, and a new M3 or LS3 'Vette would clean your clock without breaking a sweat. A GT-R, Z06 or Viper? They'd have time to stop at the end of the dragstrip, get out of the car, and laugh when you finally got there. (Kidding and exaggerating, but you get the point.)
There's nothing wrong with the Greddy kit, but a large percentage of us get a taste of boost and move on to other kits quickly. It's a very expensive way to figure out what we didn't know we wanted.

^I agree with Torque Obsessed and the guy who mentioned a space shuttle.
I think the Greddy Kit is awesome for DD for sure, and that is one of the main reasons I got it. But, my S is not really a DD anymore and I definitely desire more power now.

You're right, it solves the lack of torque at low rpm very nicely. Makes the car much more driveable, and thus a whole lot more fun. I just came back from a trip to Tennessee, and back-road passing (even 2 or 3 cars at a time) just requires hitting the gas in 6th gear - no downshift needed. I love that about the Greddy kit. There was a cement truck in front of me just a couple hours ago. I got a passing lane on a downhill grade and stomped it in 6th... The car rocketed from 60 to 83 in the blink of an eye and I was past him way before I expected it. The immediacy of the way the Greddy kit lunges is soooo rewarding. It'll do that at 3,000rpm in 2nd gear too, which makes DD traffic a blast.

considering you own the GReddy and are rolling miles on it.
To me...I love the S stock....very much...but just looking
to increase my low end..and i think the GReddy will do that
from what I've seen of the dyno.
Heck..with the GReddy I'm at stock "max" HP at 5K rpms..
no need to VTEC.
And of dyno I can see where you feel it runs out of steam..
it flattens/quits pulling from 5500 to 6200..but then pulls strong
to 290WHP!
To me...the VTEC is just icing....in that at 5K I've matched stock
HP and also greatly surpassed stock torque.
In regards to the 135I...am I missing something?
BMW lists the flywheel HP of that car at 300..torque as well..
while the GReddy S with 8.5 boost is 345 HP and 260lb.ft. while
being 600lbs. lighter!
Shouldn't the S easily dispatch this car?
Just a question?
Can I run the GReddy with stock exhaust?
And if so...how much will the exhaust note be changed?
And for nyczs2k....isn't it one thing to acheive 600WHP....but
something altogether getting that power to the ground?
At what point does the "throttle modulation" actually conspire
to defeat all those extra horses?
