I Cant Keep Turbo Flange Bolts From Snapping?!?
Hey guys. Every month I am replacing turbo flange bolts on my PFAB topmount setup. I'm using high grade ARP bolts (Mustang header 3/8 bolts are a perfect fit)
I even go through the hassle of drilling the heads and mechanic wiring them together and using lock washers and I end up snapping them about a month down the road if that. Keep in mind this car is not even daily driven.
Whats going on here? Anyone else having this issue? Its a pain in the ass...

Go to the local Volvo dealer and buy OEM turbo studs/nuts for 850 or S60, great quality and made to handle the heat.
I´ve used them on my Honda and Nissan builds for 10 years now.
The 850 also have a thick cast steel washer for head/manifold flange that flexes and keep the pressure cold as hot. Great part as well.

Any reasoning for this? I watched a few vids on the DEI product and it looks bullet proof, they held a sustained flame too it for minutes at a time and under no condition (unless soaked in oil) would the blanket deteriorate or sustain a flame.

I've had no problems with mine, I'm just saying if something were to happen, I would try an alternative.
