If Joey tries to part it out, don't buy any of his stuff!! There has to be another solution than just buying a whole new tranny.

if there is that much play i'd def check linkage and fork as stated above..

I put it up on stands and can't see anything abnormal underneath? I did notice when I position the lever into 1 I move the rear wheel and the other wheel moves in the opposite direction. When I pull the lever out of first (I say first, but it's just the position of first, it doesn't really get a firm placement in and out if ya know what i mean) I turn the back wheels and they both move in the same direction.

Best way to put your mind at ease is drain the fluid if no shaving I would say it's ok
