Ever? Yes. Do all owners of ACTs have that problem? No. But less than a year after I got mine installed the thrust bearings crapped out at 55K miles, the crank walked, and I'm looking at a new short block.

100%. I went from the CC stage 4 to the ACT HD WITH THE oem DISC and a world of difference. The CC was a POS. I actually enjoy my driving my car again. With the CC i hated it.

Unless your car is a 100% track car stay away from puck clutches.

Stick to OEM thrust bearing!

That sucks. I'm sure it's the extra force from the pressure plate.

Im sure It would be wise to disarm the clutch safety switch if you have an act, as those morning start up seem to produce the most impact and wear on the thrust bearings.

i did this on mine too. figured im not retarded, i know to check the stick before cranking it. worht it for the peace of mind.

Ive got a comp clutch stage 5 and havent had any issues with mine but then again i havent had it very long. Its super grabby but nothing that is impossible to drive!
