How much is the most reliable turbo setup worth?
I have been tossing around the idea of returning my s2000 to n/a, but i would want to sell my stuff as a 'package' to someone. I wouldnt know what to even ask, or what it would be worth to someone.
The car has been turbocharged for many many years now, and is perfect. The car was turbo'd at 27k miles, and the car currently has 88.5k miles and still running strong on a completely stock engine/head gasket if that gives you an idea of reliability . Here is the setup:
- SpeedCraft Turbo Kit
- Turbonetics T4B turbo
- AEM EMS
- AEM eugo wideband
- 550cc injectors
- Walbro 255 lph fuel pump
- Oil filter relocation kit
- 3" Dual exhaust with 2 Apex N1

WOW $3000 just for the tune, thats crazy
Im a firm believer that a good tune is worth the extra money. I have yet to let a normal local shop tune a car i own. I usually go with someone who has a lot of experience in the engine they are tuning.

I would say 4000-4500 would be fair as a complete kit depending on what EMS you have. I'm assuming it's a 1012 unit since you've had it for so long so if that's the case, I'd say low 4K range. The 1012 unit will have some issues on 02+ cars when trying to control injectors so you might want to send an email to AEM and see if they'll update the hardware under warranty (they probably will at no cost to you). This will make it easier for you to sell instead of just going with 00/01 models.
Also keep in mind that the tune will be a great starting point for someone, but they'll have to get it adjusted for their car and area of the country (temps, humidity, etc.)
Just curious, what psi/hp are you making?

The car has always been on a conservative 7.5psi, making a hair over 300whp.
The tune has held up greatly in all kinds of climates as well. The car lived in virginia for most of its life, and now in ohio. In cold weather, different temps/humidity it runs great
