Default Hood clearance issues with Comptech Aftercooler

Has anyone else had an issue with the aftercooler hitting the underside of the hood. I just had it installed and it's pushing against the insulation on the bottom side of the hood. It's causing the driver's side of the hood to be pushed up and not line up with the fender. I don't see how the aftercooler could be moved as all of that seems lined up as it should be and I would like the hood to obviously line up. Any ideas or past experience?

I posted over on S2kca as well and this seems like the most plausible response:

"Something is wrong. I've installed three CTSCs on my own cars and three on other cars without any clearance issues at all. There ought to be more than 1/2" of clearance.

Try loosening the beehive retainer bolts on the back of the compressor and rotating it clockwise to lower the output tube of the compressor and thereby lower the aftercooler unit itself.

You will need to remove the entire compressor to do this. I think that there are 6 retainers (can't remember exactly). It would be wise not to move the beehive outlet in more than 1/2" increments. So, you may be looking at more than one removal and re-install to get it done right."

If it's hitting, I would just cut a hole in the hood.

Take pics of your setup and post them. I don't think this is normal, and pics might help us spot what's wrong.

lol ya but if it's not supposed to be like that wouldn't you want to know why?

I'll try to get some pics when it's light out. Looking at it a little after work, it looks like the outlet on the compressor is angling possibly a little up, which I would imagine would cause the aftercooler to sit higher once everything is lined up...so hopefully Ptuning can just adjust how the compressor is mounted, like the recommendation from S2kca says.

its your beehive. You need to rotate the blower as the member from S2kca posted. Its also in the instructions I have from CT that you need to adjust this if you have the aftercooler. Something to do with the way the pipping is routed if you dont have the aftercooler.

Easy fix you just have to remove the blower for access.
