Holding VTEC on between shifts?
Is there any reason not to make the VTEC 100% rpm dependent and do away with any TPS or load parameters?
My car was tuned with the AEM 1052u and the VTEC on above 5900's so any upshift I'll always come back on the VTEC when I shift.
What I'm seeing on the ECU data is anytime the car goes off VTEC due to TPS or load parameters it will run rich, bog a bit and seems to sruggle to regain boost.
I corrected this so when I lift in corners it doesn't happen but is there any reason not to just set VTEC based 100% on RPM's and possibly have the car stay on the hi-cam during shifts?

You can lower the TPS/load paramaters if you want, I keep my load parameters at 92kpa+ for economy reasons, my vtec is set to 4200, so I'll be cruising around town at higher rpms than that sometimes, and I wouldn't want the vtec to be on.
