Default HKS Supercharger noise

Hi all. Just has a HKS Supercharger kit installed and im getting a high pitched whistle coming from the air filter on cold start.

It does quieten down somewhat when the car warms up but doesnt go entirely.

Also when revving, you can hear im getting flutter. Im using the HKS recirc valve that comes with the kit. Should I be getting any flutter at all? Is this related to the whistle noise?

Thanks

You should 100% swap out the supplied Blow off valve with a genuine TiAL with supercharger specific spring. This will cure the issue you are having with your resirc.

You need to get a bigger BOV such as the TIAL recommended above. The supplied BOV isn't big enough and may/will cause damage to the supercharger if used over a period of time.

Thanks. I will look at this Tial upgrade.

Is the BOV causing this high pitched noise coming out of the filter or is this a separate issue?

It could be related yes. Best to swap out the BOV to begin with and see if that addresses the issue.

So 2psi then? There's nothing wrong with going with the Tial QR recirc is there? My car is mapped for a recirc valve

I think the QR outlet narrows down to 1" which could cause flow restriction.
Not familiar what fits the HKS kit but if you want recirculation then look for the Forge Supersize or Tial QRJ.
Your tune should not care if you went to atmosphere instead, it's only MAP sensor and IAT.
