HELP! Vortech!
Alright I'm having a bit of an issue with my supercharger unit. I wanted to up the boost from the stock pulley so I called Vortech to ask them which pulley would best suit my needs I was hoping to be near the 400whp range. After speaking with them and reading on the forums. So Vortech sends me 3.8" pulley.I am running a Ultimate Racing Front Mount kit, so there would be roughly a 2 psi boost drop. We ran the pulley on the car and it idled fine and it would go into boost like normal. I did not further examine the boosting situation as I was un-tuned for this pulley.
So at the dyno, we get into our issues. We make one pull, the car makes 302.whp and 188ft lbs @7psi. The issue is that the car is only making 7psi @9k. We've checked for boost leaks and everything checks out. So we turn the car off, shuts down normally, as the charger is winding down the belt walks off the charger pulley.
I've heard of belt slipping but rarely do I hear about belts walking off pulleys like so.
So for now I have taken the belt off the pulley just in case something stupid happens and it gets caught up in something.
I've contacted vortech, however their " tech" guys are not in today so I will have to wait till next week before anything can be done.
If anyone has any ideas please shoot them this way.
Here are some pics of the set up. If anyone needs anymore info please let me know
Thanks in advance
If you got nothing good to say say it anyways, im looking for a reason to unload this car right now.

Release the lock nut on the arbor. Adjust with screw adjuster. Retighten nut on arbor.
Nut on Arbor. This is done from underneath the car.
Adjusting screw.
If you just twist the adjusting screw without releasing the lock nut it will screw up the adjusting screw and it will break. Vortech reports this happening quite frequently.

You've got an 8 rib pulley and you need a 6 rib. Your 6 rib belt is obviously not lined up with the top and bottom pullies.
