HELP! going FI !
Hi all,
iv got a MY00 with:
-HKS Hi Power Dual Exhaust
-K&N FIPK Intake w/AUT Cooling plate
-Berk High Flow Cat 63.5mm
-18" Wheels
i also want to get a different header and AEM ECU....
yes..the car is NA at the moment, iv been saving up for a SC for a long time, defs DO NOT want to go turbo ...
ANYWAYS.. i got very lucky last night at the casino and i can get my SC now
now my question is , once i get this supercharger what parts will i have to ditch (i dont want to sound like a dumbshi*t but im not sure)? im assuming the intake goes , but the exhaust, HFC can stay?
and regarding the header and ECU which ones should i get for the SC car?
also if anyone has any knowledge on what a good SC kit is that would be a lot of help also !
thanks again in advance guys! i dont know too much to do with SC so im still learning, might still be a few months till i get my SC !
any feed back helps!

You can keep your current exhaust and cat no problem. Intake goes since the supercharger is now the intake.
Cheapest ecu option is probably the aem ems you can find used for $800 ish.
If looking to run more than the base 5-7 psi most kits offer you will also need injectors, clutch, gauges, map sensor etc.
I would also get the oil jet bolts swapped out for the newer 4 holes bolts. Can search on here for info on that.
If buying a new kit I would go with SOS with the 1200 blower.
If used you can find good deals on comptech, vortech as well.

Thanks for that info mate, yeah a big concern was that i had to get rid of the exhaust and the cat and spend more money on new ones !
how much HP would i expect to make on the average SC kit ?
and with regard to headers do i have to get a certain type? with certain diameter?

Header I would just leave stock for now. Not really big gains to be had there upgrading. Money would be better spent on standalone ecu and injectors etc. unless you are getting that as well. Js racing header seems to give some good gains!
Most base 6-7 psi kits get you around the 300whp mark.

would you recommend the AEM EMS? would that be best bang for buck ?
is the Mugen header any good? or the skunk2 ? the stock headers do perform pretty well though so yeah probs not in any huge rush to change them over!
