Definitely check the guides for wear, and replace them if they are out of spec. It wouldn't surprise me if they're already out of spec and need to be replaced. 9K rpm is rough on valve guides...

Is anyone running the Brian Crower valves for an AP1 They seem to be the best bang for the buck valve.
