I think its def worth it to port the head. you dont have to run as much boost in order to get max out the turbo. for example, look at how much boost evo motors have to run in order to make similar power of f20,f22 motor. you are correct though if it is not ported correctly it will make less power...

You HAVE TOO port an EVO head to make power (within running an insane amount of boost), you don't have too with an S2k head. Look at the crazy stock motor guy that's making 700whp on a bone stock long block under 30psi of boost.
Are there performance advantages in porting an S2k head? Yes, if done properly. Is it worth the cost? In my opinion, no, unless you are trying to squeeze every last ounce of power out of the motor. Which would be WAY TOO MUCH for the street....haha

i guess it depends on one's budget but i've been a firm believer in running less boost and making most out of it rather than just turning up the boost.

talked with Mase about this a little and the S2000's benefit very little from head work. he's seen fully ported and polished heads only gain 10whp on a 500whp motor. he's also had some heads lead to a lot of smoke in the exhaust, swap back to the stock head and the smoke goes away.
B-series motor and there's lots of power to be gained from porting and polishing, our F series motors, save the money for something else valves, springs, retainers yeah, let you rev out more, but I wouldn't port the head.

B series motor make solid power on a stock head until around the 600whp-650whp mark, and our heads flow better than b-series, so it only lends to reason that they would be solid until that level, give or take.
