Default Head Build

So last week I had a valve go bad in the S, and as the cardinal rule states "when it blows, build it" lol. It has finally come time to do some research and build the head. Im not sure what needs to be done to get some extra power. I know its built from factory, but I have been driving for the past 2 years with a 45% leak down on cylinder 2. Now that I have it apart I want to upgrade as much as possible. So far I have thought about putting brian crower intake/exhaust valves, ARP head gasket/studs, as well as dual supertech springs/retainers. Decent brands? Am I in the right direction atleast, and will expect any kind of power gain from a stock ap1 S2k? Any help/recommendations is great appreciated!

Also, I know the only real way to get power out of this car is a turbo (forced induction), but as I said, right now my head is bad, and I am trying to build it so that I never have to worry about it. A turbo is going to be further down the road. Right now the goal is to see how it does N/A. Once again, thanks!!

I'll definitely look into super tech valves/springs. Can I expect any kind of power gain or is this jusy primarily more or less prepping it for a turbo?

How much are you wanting for your head? I'm looking at about 700 in parts so far, but I'm saving myself some cash by doing the work myself. Anyways, thanks for the info! Every little bit helps for sure.

Building the head for HP in this car seems to be a lost cause. Most people who dump crazy amounts of money in seem to net pretty sad results.

Alaniz head that sideways is selling nets some gains but for $3000 bucks it's still not anything amazing, though if you go that route it is SOME gain in a motor that's hard to gain on otherwise.

I built my head for safety's sake not for hp gains. There's probably other places to dump money to net better gains honestly but I'm not saying your direction is a bad one.

You could play around with ap2/ap1 internals to end up with a high compression motor for cheap that would probably net way more power for cheaper but that's just a thought.
