Having Laskey Rebuild My Motor
I'm sending my motor to laskey for http://www.laskeyracing.com/shop/s2000.htm to be done to it. I am going to keep my supercharger after doing so and wanted some opinions on how much boost I can get out of the blower and how much power I should be able to make. Any other upgrades aside from clutch you guys would reccomend?

We need more info here. How much boost do you plan to run? 91 or 93 octane fuel? What compression will your pistons be? Are you having headwork done? Any header? What type of exhaust system?

Whoa! Some of you guys are really dedicated to your cars. Good luck. I can't afford downtime, so I purchase a spare short block and head and shipped it to Laskey Racing. Meanwhile I'm saving for the "other" items needed. Once everything is acquired, it swap time!
But I feel for you guys...again, hope everything works out...

I received my block back from Earl approximately one month ago, everything looks great! We're in process of putting my car back together now, every Sunday we do a bit more!
What kind of final compression ratio are you going to have Earl go with?
Since you are going ahead and doing the full build, I'd go ahead and go all the way with it!
AEM EMS with Wideband
Smaller Pulley
Clutch / Flywheel Combo
Header
Exhaust
Test Pipe
Injectors
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Map Sensor

With Benson sleeves you'll be able to safely run any boost an SC can puff out. I would go with 9.5:1 pistons. You should be able to get at least 15 to 17psi out of a maxed out Vortech blower, but it all depends on your pulley diameter and redline. I'm not familiar with the max psi a Comptech unit is capable of. Since Laskey is building your motor might as well have him build you a bulletproof head while he's at it. Figure a built top and bottom end with a maxed out SC should put you somewhere between 450-500rwhp largely dependent on tuning.

Why 9.5? Earl reccomended the comp ratio I mentioned above. I know very little about motors, what kind of headwork would you reccomend? I'm kind of strapped for cash. When all is said and done this is gonna cost about 6000$. Dumb question: Crank/crank shaft are the same thing right?
