Greddy Profec B Spec 2 boost controller
I am thinking about purchasing the Greddy Profec B Spec 2 boost controller. From what I've seen on this board, people are using all kinds of boost controllers--from Apexi to Greddy to HKS to etc. I like the looks/features of the Greddy Profec B Spec 2 boost controller, and would like to hear any good/bad experiences you've had with this device.

I have Nothing but good things to say about it, i LOVE it
At first i thought it was the cause of my boost creep but later found that wasnt the case.
You will however hear that its a little pain in the A@% to tune it right
I spent weeks on 287 trying to fine tune my car, but thats because i loved to drive and i wanted my car to be perfect.
NO hicups.
All that work down the toilet :sigh:
Def get it i HIGHLY recommend it

I don't understand what is so hard about tuning it? It is an electronic boost controller--don't you simply set the boost level and go?
The Spec 2 has quite a few digital set parameters to set and uses a smaller solenoid. A friend of mine has one on his Audi 1.8T and it took him a while to get it just right, but it does seem to work well.

The older style Profec B is the 3 knob version. Gain, low boost and high boost that you just adjust via analog knobs. No numbers, just turn up for more boost, down for less. I have one on my Audi 1.8T and it works pretty well. Since it doesn't tap into throttle position like some other units out there, it isn't super smooth at part throttle with a high boost setup and drive by wire.
