Default Greddy oil return

Has anyone drilled the pan for the oil return on the greddy kit (instead of the drain return?)

I'd be interested in hearing where the best location on the pan is to do this. I'd prefer to not do it in the girdle. Thank you!

Why do that if you can just use the drain hole. unbolt and let it run out both ends when you change the fluid. my .02

if you don't want to worry about any problems with oil seal blowby, i would tap the girdle...

+1 on tapping the girdle, but I recommend you go forward & line it up a little over the drain's longitude. Don't go as far rearward as Ultimate Racing recommends, as it makes for a real PITA on getting a line plumbed to it without kinking.

Also consider an oil restrictor for the turbo supply if the turbo manufacturer recommends given our engine's high pressure system.

I followed these guidelines and have a pristine inlet tract (no oil leakage) on my GT3076R.

Didn't follow them on a prior T3/T04e and had slight leakage of oil into the inlet tract. No blue on exhaust or plugs, but still irritating to know the oil was coating the tract and reducing cooling efficiency.

I am sure Greddy has put a lot of R&D into their turbo kit. So I am sure if it were a problem with their turbo to have the line sharing the oild drain, they would have redesigned the setup.

Like their tubular manifold design, emanage tunes?

I will guarantee you they did this from an 'ease of installation' standpoint (so DIY'ers don't stray away), than for a long term reliability of the end user...

I totally agree it's recommended so more DIY'ers will purchase their kit.
