Default Greddy hinting at new production turbo kit?

Remember the old janky carb legal turbo kit? Well looks like after over a decade there is a new greddy kit in the works. Manifold still doesn't look too promising but definitely better than the original.. what are your critiques.

Water cooled turbo? That's nice!

I'm wondering, is this new version still going to be carb legal?

...and is it still going to be way too undersized?

Carb legal is going to put some turbo size restrictions on this thing just like the old one I imagine. 6-7psi to run carb stipulations and spinning a gt30-35 at that pressure isn't going to make too much sense - Makes plenty of sense for those that will just crank it up and mod the kit themselves as needed, but again Carb legal thing.

Be interesting to see what they have revised.

For starters, the downpipe looks like a beast compared to the old one, the prototype looks a lot better in my opinion.

Greddy does make pretty good turbo kits. Are they the best not at all. Sad to see it's still a log manifold but they need to pump out something that wont' crack and won't need a whole new motor mount setup ect. There job is a bolt up plug and play turbo if they can provide a 350whp would be cool to see.

Would be cool if they gave you a tuneable map and re added in with the emanage ultimate; I'm more then happy to test them for them

Looking forward to this; have to see what injectors and fuel pump comes with the kit
I'm hoping the kit comes with better injectors, fuel pump ect.

Here is the old kit spec if people don't remember
The 50-State Street Legal kit includes: GReddy T518Z-10cm2 turbocharger, Type 28V front-mounted intercooler, cast-iron exhaust manifold, oil filter relocation kit, aluminum piping, plug-and-play e-Manage Ultimate with 550cc fuel injectors and all the necessary hardware.
  • Part Number: 11550040
  • Notes: Bolt-On Turbo Kit; T518Z; Includes Cast Manifold, Plug-In E-Manage Ultimate, Injectors, Intercooler, Fuel Pump, Oil Filter
  • Relocation Kit & Airinx Intake
  • Manufacturer: GReddy
  • Injectors: 550cc
  • Intercooler: Type 28

With the revised/upgraded turbo and manifold and downpipe plus some e85 and better ecu this kit will top out at 400whp. Awesome starter kit. However if they keep the greddy emanage ecu this will be the kits downfall, simply put the greddy ecu is garbage at best.

I took this screen shot from Greddy's IG story video. Sorry it's a little blurry.

Looks like this kit will use a GTX2867R GEN 2 turbo.

They cant make the kit carb legal without that emanage though, so kind of takes away a big selling point of the kit. Emanage is a bit convoluted, but it can work well if you know how to set it up and tune it. I used one for several years running my 18psi supercharger set up.
