OK if it was that easy why has it been such a secret?

Now what about the coil damage? I am sure glad you are trying it out and not me.

How did you confirm it was working?

Wes,
UR has the settings on 4-8-C from the get go but Suzuka's jumpers are set to:
JP1 = 1-2
JP2 = 1-2
JP3 = 2-3
JP4 = 1-2
JP5 = OPEN
JP6 = OPEN
JP7 = OPEN

How does that compare to yours?

BTW, You da man!!!!!

It's not a matter of humble pie . . . I WANT IT TO WORK!!!

But, Greddy says it won't work. Numerous people have said it doesn't work. What's wrong with wanting a little confirmation? I could claim the world is flat, does that make it so?

Basically it boils down to I want to know before I plunk down my hard earned cash and then find out there is a downside. That's why I said I was glad someone else was trying it. I hate being the Guinea pig all the time.

Those jumper settings are listed in the manual. Any VTEC car uses those jumper settings. I'm not sure why UR has kept it as such a secret either.

It hasn't just been UR, it has been everyone. I have seen it said in at least 3 car magazines that the eManage will not eManage spark on ANY engine that has a coil on plug system.

i have almost bought one several times, but that one fact stopped me.

I have been working with J&S to get their 4 channel system rigged up on an S because it will not only manage spark under boost but also protect you if knock (silent or audible) should occur in weather like, let's say, tomorrow at Mineral Wells where the North Texas S2000 club is holding an autocross and it promises to be over 100 degrees.

We asked them what they did, and they admitted that it had nothing to do with the wiring, but with the eManage settings. But, they wouldn't tell us what the settings were. They wouldn't budge, they simply would not tell us. I just think its ridiculous that they kept this information secret when it had nothing to do with their own intellectual property.

I do not know where this information is published. My source (Deceptionx00) happened to just play around with the dials and saw "F20C" on the eManage software and realized he had figured it out. He's the true hero...so glad I ran into him online. I owe him big.

I just got off the phone with our technician and our emanages were all set to the "magical settings" all along. However when we tested intially in January we were unable to manipulate timing with the settings. So I am having a hard time beleiving this. If this is 100% true Wes has stumbled upon a great thing.
I am have been busy recently because of our upcoming open house but will try this once we get back on our car.
The whole point for us to develop a complete standalone was that we recently encountered detonation in temps exceding 95 degree plus weather. However if this retard provision works then there is really no need for us to continue with the stand alone path. The only gripe we had with the emanage was its inabilty to retard timing.
Lets see what happens
Thanks for sharing your info with us Wes
