The eManage has improvements over a standard V-AFC. If you were soley going to MAP sensor tune one advantage would be the fact that you can tune the whole throttle range, not just WOT and non-WOT. I guess a whole new thread could be started to discuss how well this would work, considering the ECU's map changover point, but the eManage is at least more felixable than the V-AFC.

yup this is exactly what I was thinking..... plus if indeed the emanage has the capability to tune timing.... the emanage would be a very good intermediate step for people who are less motivated to go full stand alone......
Wesmaster.... please keep us up dated with the timing issue.... If you are successful, I would be installing the Emanage on my N/A car....
Thanks

We have logged over 10k miles on our emanged s2k.
Yes it definetly has an advantage over the vafc, however we encountered some problems recently in the hot weather. We have been getting detonation after 8k when its over 95 degrees out. Since there is no timing control there is no way to real counter this. We are highly reccommending that people with emanage use some sort of timing retard device like a J&S.
In light of this we are currently developing a stage 3 system that will utilize a microtech computer that will be plug and play for the s2k just like the AEM. However it offer great tunability and is much more user friendly then the AEM.
I will go in greater detail regarding this via a new thread.
If any of you are interested check out the link regarding emanage

Confirmed, timing control works. From what we can tell the dials are the "secret". My jumpers are set according to the manual, but the dials are now set at 4-8-C. We started some street tuning today, and the car will hit the dyno next week sometime.
