Going SuperCharger, Upgrade Oil jet bolts?
Debating on whether or not I should upgrade to the 2002 and up style Oil Jet bolts before I install my supercharger? Has there been any evidence that this really is a good preventive action? thanks.

I debated this one in my mind too.
Bought the bolts when I bought the SC and still haven't installed them on my MY01. About 5,000 miles on the SC now. This is one of those variables where nobody's done a scientific test specifically on a SC car. (Install them on only 2 cylinders for example, then tear down the engine at X miles and see how the innards compare.) It certainly seems to make 'sense' to do it IF you are certain you can swap them in without screwing anything else up in the process. Personally, I wasn't sure. I've still got the bolts because maybe one day I'll get brave and actually install them
I'd say, look over the install instructions at this site. Be sure to get a 12" flex shaft extension for the one that is hard to get to, and think it over.
-edit, assuming you're going Comptech, and you won't have to drop the oilpan to tap a new hole, you can install the oil jet bolts later if you wish.

I ran up to 8psi on my Comptech with the original bolts for about a year and a half. I recently went turbo and as that required removing the sump I did the oil bolts at the time.

I ran for 15k siupercharged pm tje two hole bolts. I changed them out after I read a post by Billman regarding how many failures he's seen that he felt could be table to oil starbation. The 4 bolt one have about 30% more area. It's a pain in the ass to install so try and do it while you're under there for something else.
I have no mechanical problems with either, but I feel a little better about it with all the mods I'm running. I think the failures billman saw were on N/A cars so I figured ...why not?

ps no they don't make your S any faster... except for the weight loos by the bigger holes.....

few member over here in NY replaced the Oil pump when we replaced the jet bolts.
we found a article regaring the early models 00,01, and early 02, some how they dont think we dont "drive" @ higher RPM on the us, Honda upgraded the oil pump, let me find the article and I'll post it.
