u know whats funny. i have two aem serial gauges in teh car, so theres an assload of info for me to see, but i dont look at any of it when i am driving. the only time i loook at it is if the car acts up, and it hasnt in a long long long long long time. <knock on wood>

once the car is tuned, for the most part, theres no need for any guage other then a watertemp gauge. thats the only one i ever glance at. cuase if the cars overheating, you got problems.

when i punch it, i dont stare at the AFR gauge, i dont look at the boost gauge, that shit jumps around so fast how da **** am i supposed to notice a quick spike in afr.

you log the car here and there to make sure everything is dialed in, and then DRIVE

that being said, gauges are fun to play with. if you want gauges, i suggest ones with peak hold, that way you can at least use them to see what your hitting max on the guages you get. i use it for the knock volts, iat, speed, but again its more to play wiht.

your first indication the car is not right will be it acting up.

welp, for a turbo guy, i suppose if you happen to look at the boost gauge and notice it creeping higher then you wanted, that would help, but again, your in third gear going past 80mph on the street, should you A be looking at yhour boost gauge or B looking down the street watcing for shit?

sooooooo, i got a question for ya? what tuning solution are you doing? aem get serial gauges, kpro get that bad ass screen thing that shows multiple gauges on it at once.

side note, anyone know if aeroforce obd2 gauges work with a flashpro, kpro'd car? buddy just KB SC his 09 stang , and he has 2 aeroforce gauges that hook up to the obd2 port, and show 2 peices of info each. its bad ass, and pretty much have access to every sensor on the car.

Camuman has a point, when I had my Evo and sti I had plenty of gauges... and didn't really bother with any of them . I used my boost gauge to make sure my boost controller was set right, then promptly ignored it for months at a time.

I think the AFR/BOOST/Flow meter for me will be looked at closely for the first WOT run of the day , just to make sure everything is working as it should then after that like what was said above, only reference if car is acting up

can I get an Oil pressure gauge that just plugs into the EMS to get a reading?
Our stock ECUs don't read oil pressure, they just have a dummy light that supplies a voltage if oil pressure drops below whatever psi.

Still need a oil pressure sending unit connected to the EMS to be able to read an exact number.
