Put your hands on the steering wheel at ten and two. Stick your index fingers straight out towards the dash. You are pointing at two round plastic covers. Pop those off and take out the two phillips head screws behind them. Then with a small flat headed screw driver wrapped in electrical tape pry loose that whole grey colored dash piece. There are numerous clips holding it in but only two screws!

after those 2 dash screws, look under the steering colum. there are 3 phillips head screws. remove.
right above the vent for the foot heater there are 2 12mm nuts. loosen them half way. now, about 6inches towards the steering wheel, there are another 2 12mm nuts. remove them completely. now u can lower the steering colum and remove the upper column cover. Then start prying at the cluster bezel. Its hard to remove because of the vents and start button ,but it will come out. Reach back there and unplug the HVAC/cruise/defrost/ start button/ and radio control connectors as you're removing the bezel; there is very little slack in the wiring harness. GL!

oh. to remove the radio switches, you must:
1) locate the metal tab that holds in the start button assembly. push it down while pulling the unit out
2) locate the 3 phillips screws holding in the radio control assb.
3) pull out the assb. and remove the small phillips screw(s) that hold the 2 halves.

WindchaserS2K, follow the instructions that I gave you and pull it out as far as you can without breaking things. Then you can pull just the left side out even farther so that you can see 3 gold colored screws that hold the radio controls and start button in. Reach your arm up from underneath of the dash putting your elbow by the clutch pedal with a short screw driver and take them out. Once you have them out you can detach all the plugs for the start button and radio controls. Then you will have the whole assembly in your hand, on the back there are two more screws, take them out and then you will see where you have to cut in your gauge. When I was cutting the hole for my gauge I tried to save the screw post that is closest to the drivers door but it wasn't happening so I lost it (my temper) and cut the whole thing out. To secure that part of the "radio controls" to the rest of the dash bezel, I took that "u" shaped bracket that comes with your gauge, cut it in half, screwed it to the back of the gauge, and just like the start put my hand up through the dash and tightened it so that it pushes it flush with the bezel. I hope that makes sense, I just got home from the bar. Don't make me pull apart my dash right now and take pics, I am tired, and drunk!
