how much is it for the kit (both power ratios) and a rebuilt diff with 3.90's? Also, could you buy the lower one and upgrade to the bigger one? i assume its only the axles that are different

We have revised our rear end brackets. The older steel brackets works fine, but we are constantly trying to improve our products. For our customers who have bought the steel version, we are also offering an upgrade. Please contact us for details and the cost.

Ok, so I did some searching.... and for NEW it all adds up like:
Stage 3.9 Kit which is rated to 600hp $2695
Ford Racing M-4010-A88 (aluminum) carrier $299 (http://www.jegs.com/i/Ford-Racing/39...oductId=762991)
FORD 8.8" 28 SPLINE REAR DETROIT TRUETRAC POSI 912A562 $470 (http://www.ringpinion.com/ProductDet...and=Eaton_Posi)
(Above is NOT to be confused with Trac Loc which go for $270)
3.9 or 4.11 gearset $140 (ebay)
Installation kit (?) say #120
Total $3724
Assuming any reasonable shop could assemble the diff, how difficult is the install? New wheel bearings needed? Other stuff?

Can we use this DIFF? or is it not compitable for some reason? I was just looking at Diffs, and I see one for $200.00
