Default Fuel rain modification required?

Tried searching through the diy intall posts but couldn't find this one...

since I am using AEM EMS, I don't need to use an FPR. Question is, do I still need to modify (drill) the fuel rail? Vortech manual says this is for 04-05 models only but I'm not sure if they mean that in the context of using EMS with no FPR.

Thank you for your help!!

You still need an FPR, just not one that raises more than 1:1. A stock FPR will suffice.

You should only need a FPR if you are not running larger injectors. If you are running larger injectors with the EMS, you can use the stock fuel rail and stock FPR.

I will be running Injector Dynamics 1000CC's so we're good on the FPR...

But are you guys sure I don't need to drill the fuel rail?

Thanks so much for your quick responses. I love this site.

Yeah, I'm confident you don't need to drill the fuel rail.

Just a guess, but could that be for the supplemental fuel injector that comes with the high-output kits? http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/produc...on.php?pvk=1062

I was always confused about that too and asked GoTuning the same question. But since you're running ID 1000's obviously you won't need it.
