Default Fuel rail feed fitting banjo vs AN (aftermarket radium)

Starting a different thread for this for more attention. I’m in the middle of putting a radium fuel rail on my 06 and I’m going to feel the fuel from the middle port on the rail (like the oem location).

Unfortunately I don’t have the room for a 90 degree AN between the fuel rail and the intake manifold because the radius turn of the AN fitting touches the head of the intake manifold bolt.

I‘m going to try a 120 degree AN fitting but I’m doubting it will work, which leads me to one of radium’s low profile banjo fittings.

Do you think I’ll run into any kind of pressure problems using a banjo fitting like this instead of the AN?

FWIW this (banjo) is what radium includes in their “plumbing kit” which is optional to purchase with their rail:

There is a flow chart on Radiums website.

Ah, I did not see that chart when clicking around on my phone. So, are we to assume that AN smooth radius style fittings do not have any pressure drop? I dont know.

For my situation, I have a walbro 255 pump, so it can only pump 255lph at max anyway, which looks like will be .5 psi drop assuming the pump is at max duty (I'll be using the 0808 -8AN fitting).

I assume that the fuel pressure could be turned up a bit and compensated with in the tune if it really needed to be, right?

There's probably some loss in a smooth radius bend as well but I would call 0.5 psi negligible in your case.
I'm using the -0806 but only on the return line, it really is an awesome little fitting for tight spaces.

I think I asked Radium about the pressure drop a few years back and they said it was minimal so I opted to use them for the feed and return off the regulator. No issues but I'm not pushing a lot of power.

I still need to redo a couple parts of my fuel system (run a new feed line with fuel filter) so curious to see what choices you make. What standalone are you running on your car?

I'm running the same setup as well, haven't ran into issues, I just upped the fuel pressure a bit to compensate for 2.4 but still needing to pass smog

Ran the banjo myself; no issues. Had all the fuel I could ask for. Radium does their homework! Buy from them with confidence!

Can the FPR on the end of the Radium rail be turned a bit to get the return line out in a better position? It looks to me like you can rotate it, but maybe I'm missing something here.

FPR rotates freely just like the banjo fitting, pretty genius stuff.
Here is my rail, it looks a bit different than the 06+ version.

Yep, I have a -6an radium swivel banjo for the return line into a 90 degree fitting, turns straight down behind the intake and under the car. The line is a little off in this pic but final form will have it tucked behind the intake there.
