Default Fuel pressure setting for Comptech SC

I have my Comptech SC nicely installed and it runs pretty damn good. I bought it second hand and was informed that the FPR had been adjusted (up apparently) for a larger pulley and injectors. I'm running the standard pulley and injectors.

I got a gauge on it today and it was reading 55psi static (idle with pressure line disconnected)?!? The instructions for the FPR say it comes set to 62psi but I'm not sure if this is for the FPR by itself, or the FPR that comes with the SC. I adjusted up to 62 and it seems to run better.

Does anyone know what the static presure setting is for the FPR that comes with a Comptech SC?

Come on, you can't tell me that no one who has installed the Comptech SC has checked the FPR pressure!

I've had a gauge made up and can calibrate to my hearts (and motors) content but not without the stats.

I just used an A/F gauge and a dyno. If you think about it... wouldn't that be the right way?

Sure, but I'd rather start with a correct setting and work from there. After I installed the kit I took it to two dynos and they tried to tune with the VAFC. That's a whole 'nother story but suffice to say 135Kw at the wheels was less than impressive. I assume the reason was that the FPR was set low and they were trying to tune up with the VAFC which was sending a high pressure signal to the ECU and it was retarding. The second mob said they'd like to check fuel pressure but didn't have the necessary fuel line adaptors.

I guess I'll take it back to them with my gauge.

START by zeroing out your VAFC settings and attempt to dail in using ONLY the FMU.
THEN add an extra quarter turn on the FMU richer.
FINALLY tweak the VAFC settings to *remove* fuel.

The VAFC sucks at adding fuel and is really only useful for tweaking. This is why I am suggesting to start just a little rich and lean out to your preference. Frankly, I think the VAFC causes more problems than it solves, but the above proceedure should improve your chances at tuning successfully with that hunk of junk.

I've got the VAFC zeroed and it's staying that way until I get some dyno time. And yes, I will only be using it for leaning and then not much.

I'm looking around for an eManage as we speak.

But none of this changes the original (and I thought quite reasonable) question: What is the Comptech FPR supplied with the Comptech SC set to as stock?

I'm starting to think that S2ki is the place to talk about future changes to the S2000.

This just in from Comptech:
"The static fuel pressure 46-50psi and at 20" of vacuum is 30-34psi. You
might want to turn it down a little."
